June 21st

Hello again,

I did get your package and I loved it. Thanks a lot. As for the new mission thing, I haven't heard anything about it, but we have already been doing all those things in our mission already. It is true a lot of missions are being closed and consolidated, starting on the 30th of this month- the Peoria, Illinois mission will be in our mission. Nauvoo will be in our mission too. Last week was transfers and my companion left to my old area and I got a new one his name, is Elder McConnell and this will be his last area. He goes home July 29th. I'll be here for another transfer after this one. Man Iowa is so pretty, just miles of rolling green plains and corn fields. The past three weeks we have had a lot of storms and tornado warnings. As for the baptism, it didn't happen. Its complicated and too long to write, but we are still working with her. Hopefully she will be baptized in a few weeks. Other than that we have two other really solid investigators who should get baptized as well. Well I love you all.

Love, Elder Figueroa

Well how's it going?
This past week and a half have been busy, a lot of teaching and tracking.
Tomorrow is tranfers so I'll get a new companion tomorrow. We have 3 really solid investigators right now, who are very close to baptism. Sorry my letter is so short I have a busy day today. I love you all

June 7th E-mail

Hello
This is the last week till tranfers again so my p-day will be on Wednesday next week. Last Thursday we set another baptismal date with a lady named, Evelyn Kendall- her son is serving a mission, but she isn't a member till now haha. We have been teaching her and she will be baptized on the 19th of June, the same day as our other two baptisms. Well the other one of ours is and the one from my other area is on the same day as well. The work is definitely looking up in this area, so I'm happy. On Friday I was able to travel down to Omaha and go to Winter Quarters Temple to a sealing session of a member in our ward. It was way fun. Also, I sent pictures in my e-mail last week- let me know if you got them. This weekend we get a couple young men out with us, its there mini mission, so we show them and take them with us as we do our work. Well not much going on here, keep praying for me and I love you all.
